EDL (part seven)

Darkseid hears the sounds from across the field opposite the crash site, grabs Clark and throws him down, kicks Kara away and stomps Clark's back hard into a leap over the cruiser.

He lands before his still approaching army and roars his rage, knocking many back and blasting a dusty wind.  

Darkseid - A pause is forced as he roars, "Madness !  Chaos and destruction !"

His army gathers behind him carrying pieces of the dead, eating.

Darkseid - Roars continuing to blast back soldiers and artillery, bullets and all, "I will be a _Hero_ for your destruction !"

Darkseid - "Hated !  Destroyers !  Feared and plotted against in silence by the galaxy !  _The Universes beyond Count !"_

Clark hovers down in front of him, armor shredding, crackling green and red eyed.

Darkseid - Spoken, watching him descend, "And you."  Looks to the side seeing Kara hovering over the cruiser.  A short laugh to himself, then looking back, "A workout soon to end."

Orion smiles from the hill.

Orion - Looking the distance at Clark, "He can hear them coming.  He knows he's lost."  He smiles wider, "He can hear me talking to you right now."

Darkseid - Looking angrily from the hill back to Clark, "Madness."

Blinding lights from the hill surround them suddenly, engines rev across the field, shotguns are loaded, chainsaw cords are pulled.

Darkseid looks around blinded, then up as a rumbling and lights fill the skies all around.

Constantine stands behind the Oracle, silently peering over her shoulder.

John - "Whoa."

Repeat of the message translated around the world.

Clark - (Biker bars) "People of Earth.  We've got to warn you."  

Flash running in China.

Diana - "You _must prepare, all_ of you."

Flash running in France.

Bruce - (Cos-play conventions) "An invasion force comes to take _everything_ we have."

Flash - Standing in in the president's bedroom, news on behind him (of the president), "And sir.  They're going to eat us."

The president drops his donut.

Darkseid - "Madness."

('Super Stupid' by Funkadelic)

Clark - Smiles and holds up a tiny flashing chip, then swallows it.  "Welcome to Earth."

Tanks fill the hills between the headlights and take aim, missiles approach from the sky as mobile launchers pull up behind the tanks.

Clark - "Everyone here knows I can take it.  So how about you ?"  He holds out his arms,  _"! Fire !"_

Everything fires as the missiles strike, while Clark wrestles Darkseid, holding his head in front of a missile, tossing him into another, taking some himself, laughing as his rage and discharge grows in the flames, missiles targeting the tracking chip.

The lanterns begin moving the walls into a circle around Clark and Darkseid, containing the blasts while Jordan takes subduing shots at Darkseid (back of the knee, etcetera)

His blinded army pours against the Amazons, Gargareans and Atlanteans, while tanks move forward, reinforced by pretty much everyone.  Biker gangs, farmers with chainsaws and threshers, cos-players, nuns, everything.

Be imaginative ...

Aircraft carriers arrive from around the world, emptying their decks, helicopters arrive from US bases, soldiers deploy on the field, alongside those from every nation, jets launch rockets and missiles into the gate, creating wreckage of the walkers and slowing the advance, as the people take the gate front.

Aliens chased by threshers, people flipping burgers on the hill, handing out boards with nails and barbed wire, people in beach chairs drinking and cheering while all the roads fill with vehicles coming and pouring through the fields.

World leaders (as many real as possible, others as doubles) ride missiles across the sky, dancing.  The last being Elizabeth with tiny poodle missiles for poodles on leashes, followed by the Duke's snapping jaws.  They descend into a camera shot to Darkseid's face, held in place by Clark then followed quickly by his fist.

Clark continues to pound his fury against Darkseid, hitting hard and fast, roaring and throwing him against the hull of his cruiser, continuing blindly.  He throws Darkseid to the ground and elbow drops him again, continuing to beat him as Darkseid begins to fade reaching blankly up.

Others around call to him beyond his hearing as he continues.

Orion walks up to him and puts out his forefinger, stopping Clark's fist in a shimmering wave, the sound of a gong underwater.  

Bruce's voice - "Fields of wheat ..."  

Clark looks up and the field is empty of all but they three, and wheat blowing in a calm breeze, undisturbed, never a battle.  

Orion - Circling around staring at Clark as Darkseid reaches for him, "And do you wish to rule, Kal of El ?"  

Clark stares at him astounded.  Orion stares back at him while he stomps Darkseid's head, crushing it.  The ground cracks as the world returns to battlefield and the cheering people of Apokolips.  

Orion - Still staring at Clark, _"! We return !"_  He continues staring at him while his people exit the gate behind him turning away only to exit, the last.  The gate closes after him, showing nearly no destruction on the other side, peaceful in the silence of all the world's eyes and commanders, heroes and villains, it's people.

Clark looks around at the people, the destruction and death, tears off the last of his armor and walks away toward the peaceful plains, through where Orion had walked into the tall grains.  Some move to catch up and the disturbed wheat shows he's disappeared with great speed.

The camera sweeps in front of the massive human army, heroes, villains, soldiers and just people, then behind them to show their size and the untouched wheat before them.
